ArtB: A Reason To Be...
Two local Charities and Hafal in partnership with
Snowdonia National Park:
The delivery of Therapeutic Art workshops on the theme of local heritage.
Working with one group of people with mild to moderate mental health problems based in Snowdonia National Park, Maentwrog and another group with disabilities (and mental health problems) based in Barmouth.
Outcomes:
- Retention rate and motivation high.
- Participants became engrossed in art making, thinking about culture and history
- Able to focus their minds on something external from themselves.
Facilitating creative expression and the sharing of ideas by providing space and time for social interaction and art making
